Come with me to historic Snow Hill, Maryland. I promise you won’t be disappointed. Snow Hill is a small town with a big heart. There is much history here and I would encourage you to take the time to walk through the town, enjoy the beautiful architecture, the scenery, and chat with many of the locals.

The Palette is in the historic district of Snow Hill on W. Green Street. Be prepared to be welcomed by one of the friendly staff. You may want to call ahead for seating arrangements as this is a very popular spot. Once seated, you’ll begin to notice the wonderful art that graces the walls of this historic building; so warm and inviting and pleasant to the eye. The staff will be eager to answer any questions you may have regarding the artists featured and of course Snow Hill itself.

Now it’s time to peruse the menu. Your mouth may begin to water, but don’t be alarmed as this is fairly normal. The creativity of the owner is showcased through the descriptive offerings at this wonderful eatery. The name and the logo of The Palette tell it all. A plate in the shape of an artist’s palette aptly expresses the owners heart. The thought that goes into each plate as the combinations of fresh, local, organic food is prepared with color, flavor and texture in mind is really amazing. Then the chef presents each plate artistically so we can enjoy and eat with our eyes first. Yes; The Palette is the perfect name for this eatery. Oh; don’t forget to indulge in the homemade desserts; to include pies, cakes and Delmarva’s own Chesapeake Farms pure, creamery ice cream. Top off with a smooth cup of coffee or hot tea. The menu changes seasonally to take advantage of the fresh, local produce.

There’s a great little gift shop next door; The Palette Pantry. This little shop offers very unusual items for the discerning shopper. Perhaps you’re looking for a hostess, wedding, birthday or shower gift. Why not a “no reason” gift for that special someone on your mind or go ahead and indulge on yourself for a change. Just remember to enjoy your day and tell them the Delmarva Diva sent you.
Happy Eating,
Delmarva Diva
